Looking forward to: My first Dr. appointment and going to Animal Kingdom with David and my goose in a few weeks.

This week, the baby is roughly the size of a blueberry, and is about .50 inches long, .02 ounces.
This week, "the tooth buds are forming. Your baby's arm and leg buds have grown longer and are beginning to segment into future fingers and toes. That belly that you will eventually be tickling is beginning to take shape and inside it your baby's pancreas and appendix are also developing. Your baby's brain is growing, and so are the eye lenses. The color of your baby's eyes is determined at the moment the sperm fertilized your egg."

Looking forward to: My first Dr. appointment and telling everyone!

This week, I'm still just feeling exhausted for the most part, and we've finally decided to tell everyone! :)

The baby is roughly the size of a small green pea, and is about .24 in long, and weighing .01oz. "Although your baby's body is just a head and tail at this stage; however, little eyes, mouth and ears are growing. Moreover those arms and legs that will be moving around in the coming months are just in the form of tiny buds. These will soon turn into flipper-like hands and feet. It is at this stage that the neural tube closes in your baby's back. Even though your baby's heart is beating regularly, it is still too soon to hear the heartbeat."

My first appointment with the birthing center has been set up for 12 weeks, on April 1, 2014. I can't wait!!!

What an Amazing depiction of pregnancy...

Post by Diply.

Breaking the Silence...

So I guess we'll have to start breaking the news soon, before Sophia does! Haha! So I explained to her what is happening, because the other afternoon when trying to lay down for a nap, Sophia started kicking me. I told her a) we DON'T kick, but b) mommy has a baby in her tummy and we don't want to hurt the baby.

Skip to this morning. She wakes up this morning and first thing out of her mouth is "baby mommy tummy!" and she's been randomly saying it all day. So I suppose we'll have to start telling people soon before she lets out the secret. :)

Looking forward to: Checking out the birthing center

This week I'm already beginning to feel the exhaustion. I've been so freaking tired everyday, which I'm normally up until ungodly hours, but I've been heading to the room before 11pm the past few nights. It's crazy. I don't remember the tiredness starting this early last time. Definitely not looking forward the morning (all day sickness) and tender boobs to start. I think it was closer to 8 weeks or so when all that started last time, so hopefully I'll get lucky and I've got some time. It's freaking me out a little, because I also forgot about how much faster your heart races because of the excess blood. And I've got the bloating. I called the birthing center to see if they do in fact take my particular insurance, and she found that unfortunately they don't, but she wasn't sure why, so she submitted the paperwork to be ABLE to accept my insurance, since they are currently out of network. The downside is that it could take up to 6 months for it finalize, but on the other hand, it means that when it actually comes to time, it'd be covered. Worst case is, I see my normal Dr. here, and then transfer, but they said they'd work something out with me so that I can see them the whole time. I got for a tour of the facility next week. :)

"The Baby is currently the size of a sesame seed, and is roughly 1/20 inch long (1.3mm). This week my baby's heart is forming and by the end of this week, will begin to beat at a steady rhythm. It's skeleton begins to form, as do the structures that will become its eyes and ears. Also during this week, the placenta forms."

2/7/14: I've been having insane anxiety going on. And here and there I've been getting little bouts of upset stomach, but not anything like the morning sickness I had last time, but I have a feeling that it's coming very very soon now.

2/10/14: Today I went on the tour and for my consultation of the birthing center! It's absolutely beautiful! I already know which room I want (presuming nobody is already in it when I go into labor). The whole place is browns (which I love, and feels so cozy and warm), the waiting area has several comfy leather couches, a little table, a corner of toys for little ones, a big fake fireplace and a flat panel. Next to it is a beautiful full kitchen, with complementary tea and coffee. At least two of the three rooms (not sure about the third) have french doors that lead out to a patio area. The rooms that you get your checkups in have chaise lounges instead of your typical hospital bed. It's everything I was hoping for. Unfortunately, they DON'T currently cover my type of BCBS but has submitted an expedited request to be able to, but that could take up to six months. So I'd been trying to figure out if I should see someone local first and then switch, or what, because the difference is $800 out of pocket or $3000. That said, I hadn't even considered Medicaid this time, because since David switched jobs, I thought that maybe they'd say we make too much now. But as it turns out, we still don't, and with me being pregnant, it looks like I AM eligible, and the birthing center accepts Medicaid, so it looks like I could maybe not have to wait the six months to start using them, which would be fantastic. In the meantime, I'm going to call my local OB/GYN and set up my first appointment with them, just to get everything checked out and measured and all that, and get an actual E.D.D. So I guess that's it for now.
