Food cravings: Nothing at the moment.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, just generic morning sickness, but a lot less
Gender: n/a
Labor signs: n/a
Symptoms: nausea, exhaustion
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy except during my daughter's tantrums
Looking forward to: Our first appointment at the birthing center tomorrow and taking Sophia to an art class on Thursday.

The baby is roughly the size of a plum and weighs about .49 oz and is approximately 2.13 inches long.

"Your baby's liver and spleen are now producing blood cells, and the pancreas is beginning to release digestive enzymes. Your baby's liver accounts for 10 percent of the total weight, which is about half an ounce by now. The muscular system and nervous system are responding to each other and your baby is now able to bend, stretch, kick, and even make faces. These movements are not occurring in response to any particular stimulation, but are occurring nonetheless. The sex of your baby is becoming more pronounced and the kidneys are now producing urine from the amniotic fluid that he or she ingests. Because your baby won't be using the lungs to breathe until birth, all the oxygen needed is coming from the placenta.

11 Weeks Pregnant With Baby #2

Total weight gain: ~2 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? No
Best moment this week: Watching "Last Vegas" with my family, going to a wedding
Miss anything? A nice ice cold coke, not feeling exhausted and gross

Anything making you queasy or sick: Yes, and this was the first time I ended up actually throwing up.
Gender: n/a
Labor signs: n/a
Symptoms: nausea, exhaustion
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy except during my daughter's tantrums
Looking forward to: Our first appointment on the 25th, the Balloon and Airfest and Renn Faire this weekend.

This week, the baby is approximately the size of a fig.
"Your baby is now about the size of a fig, and is busy moving around inside your uterus. This week is the beginning of a three-week period when your baby will double in length and will go through a growth spurt. If you could touch the little fingers you could feel that the tiny fingernails are beginning to form. At some point during this week blood will begin circulating between the uterus and fetus and the placenta will start functioning. Your baby looks more human now than ever before with a visible neck, straighter back and thicker skin. The head is almost as big as the rest your baby's body. The risk of congenital defects becomes less now as the vital organs are fully formed and are less likely to be affected by outside influences."

Labor signs: n/a
Symptoms: nausea, constipation, exhaustion
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On

This week, the baby is roughly the size of a date at 1.22 inches and .14 ounces.

"The tiny baby floating inside you is now equipped with all of the internal organs, the heart being almost fully developed. The tail is gone, and the webbing between the fingers and toes has disappeared. The eyes are moving from the side of the head to the front, where they will eventually be located. If you could see your baby's ears, you would notice that they are getting their final shape and getting ready to hear the world. Your babu is preparing to make some noise, with the diaphragm emerging this week. If you're carrying twins, you better be prepared for the duet they'll be singing at birth. Your little baby is now about the size of a date."

9 Weeks Pregnant with Baby #2:

Stretch marks? No
Best moment this week: Taking Sophia to Animal Kingdom

Looking forward to: Going to Boutique for a Week, and going the Warbird Air Show

This week, the baby is approximately the size of a grape.

"The beginning of week 9 marks the end of the 'embryonic period' and the beginning of the 'foetal' period. The kidneys, liver, brain and lungs are all beginning to function. Your baby's head is now half the size of her body, and that little tail that made him or her resemble a tadpole is starting to disappear. With the right ultrasound doppler your doctor may even be able to hear the heartbeat, but depending on the position of the baby it may not be until week 12 before the heartbeat can be heard. The fingers and toes are still webbed, but this will completely disappear in the next few weeks. Even though your baby has now fully developed eyes by now, they will still take quite a few weeks before they open. It will take even longer before you will find out what color they are. Your breast may feel sore, but during this week the nipples of your baby are forming too."

Had a little bit of another scare this week, but turned out to be just that. So that's good news.

Ick...

Having a really bad pregnancy day today. The weather is absolute crap out, which doesn't help. I've got the nausea, which is actually worse right now, because I took my prenatal vitamin with breakfast, and I keep burping up, what I can only guess is fish oil. Absolutely disgusting and would make me vomit if I WASN'T pregnant. I have absolutely no energy, hell, I'm still in my nightgown. I'm constipated as well, although, I did finally get a little out today, vs. needing to for the past week or so. I'm starving (okay, not literally) and haven't been grocery shopping in at least a week (vs. my normal twice a week) because I just haven't had the energy or drive. Thankfully, I have an awesome mom who is picking me up a sub so that I don't have to go out. Super grateful. Additionally, feeling very emotional today. I just want to cry for no apparent reason and I'm missing my husband a bunch. 5pm won't get here fast enough. Somehow between now and then I need to figure out how to pull myself together so that I can go to the store and at least get food through the weekend for us. I've gotta pick up stuff for lunch for Saturday when we go to Animal Kingdom. Agh.

8 Weeks Pregnant with Baby #2:

How far along? 8 Weeks
Total weight gain: ~1 lb
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? No
Best moment this week: Spending time with my brother
Miss anything? Sweet tea
Movement: No
Food cravings: cereal, taco bell, subway blt, pizza, ice cream...yikes!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Smells
Gender: n/a
Labor signs: n/a
Symptoms: nausea, constipation, gassiness, exhaustion
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: Mostly happy
Looking forward to: Taking Sophia to see the Pirates and Princess tour on Friday and Animal Kingdom on Saturday. :)

This week the baby is approximately .63 inches, and weighs approximately .04 ounces, and is roughly the size of a raspberry.
"It's a boy - no wait...it's a girl. This is the week that your baby's primary reproductive organs will either become testes or ovaries. Even though the sex is determined at conception, the gonads took until now to become one or the other. If you would like to find out your baby's sex before birth, it's still too soon to show on an ultrasound. Most gender scans are not available until week 17. Even though you still can't tell the sex of your baby yet, some other visual distinctions are becoming apparent. Now your baby's face has an upper lip, eyelids and tip of the nose. A tiny tongue is growing inside the small mouth. The little fingers and toes that you will be counting at birth have begun to form too. If you're carrying twins, it's possible that you may have one of each sex developing in your uterus."

3/1/14 - I had a bit of a scare this morning. I had some serious cramping going on, which I didn't have last pregnancy. It had me quite anxious/freaked out. Luckily there was no bleeding, and it went away about 45 minutes later. So fingers are crossed that it was just uterus pains from growing.

3/4/14 - Still no spotting, so I'm assuming I'm safe.
