This week the baby is approximately the size of a cantaloupe, at 12.70 oz in weight, and 10.51 inches in length.

"Your baby now looks very much like it will look at birth, only smaller. He may be busy sucking its thumb, yawning and kicking up a storm in your uterus. If you're having twins it may feel like their first dance recital. Hair is growing on his head and facial features are formed. There is no need for an ultrasound to hear the heartbeat, or heartbeats, as a stethoscope is powerful enough to pick up the rhythmic beating now. The bone marrow is making blood cells by now, a job previously done only by the liver and spleen. Even his intestines are absorbing small amounts of sugar from the ingested amniotic fluid. Your baby is now able to blink and the eyelashes and eyebrows are formed as well."
