Looking forward to: Our family reunion and mini vacation

This week the baby is approximately the size of an eggplant, at 15.17 oz in weight, and 10.94 inches in length.

"Your baby weighs almost a pound now, even if you're having twins. Movements of your baby are deliberate and with the purpose of preparing its motor skills and coordination. Even though hair is growing on his head, the color will be white as the pigment has not yet developed. His skin is wrinkled and is of a pinkish-red color, but still translucent. The limbs are proportionate, but your baby is still very thin, weighing approximately one-seventh of the final weight at birth. His brain is beginning to have a period of rapid growth and development."

  1. I haven't checked your blog in awhile! I was curious about whether you think you'll have GD this time? You're getting close to the 3rd tri!

    1. Initially I felt confident that I was most definitely going to end up having it again, because I had always been told that if you have it once, you'll always have it. However, when I was still at the birthing center, they said that absolutely isn't true, especially if it doesn't run in your family (which it doesn't. My mom had four kids and never had GD). I did pass my early glucose test, so I am hoping that this time around I don't have it again, but if somehow I do, I will do what I have to, and get back on that super strict diet to ensure my baby's safety/health. :)
